God’s Grace is Sufficient

Happy Monday morning, Friends. I hope you had an amazing weekend.  If your weekend was anything like mine, you needed some help along the way. 🙂
If you caught my periscope, I talked about just how crazy of a week I had leading up to the weekend… nothing too major… all of our cars stopped working, my son was sick and home from school for 3 days, and I was just tired.  I realize compared to someone else, my week was a piece of cake.  But you know what God reminded me?  That no matter what I’m facing,  I can either choose to look at that circumstance and be frustrated and defeated OR I can receive His grace that He provided for me through Jesus Christ and be strengthened.

I was reminded of the story of Paul in 2nd Corinthians 12 where he talked about having a thorn in his side and he asked the Lord three times to remove it…. He asked him 3 times!!!  And look what the Lord said,

Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away.

Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
Right there in my kitchen, I lifted my hands and thanked God for His grace.  In an instant, my burden was lifted, joy was restored, and I felt like I could make it.  Now of course my cars were still not working and my son still needed to get back to school. But my spirit was renewed and my heart was encouraged and I could see clearer past the gloom of the frustration that was trying to settle in on me.
I want to encourage you today.  As you start out this work week,  don’t try to go at it alone and in your own ability.  Lift your eyes beyond the hills to where your help is and receive the GRACE that the Father has already provided for you today.

  1. Thank you so much , since the passing of my mother this past January I have really needed GODS grace to handle everyday life, reading this has really lifted my spirits and let me know I have to continue to rely on Gods grace and not try and do everything in my own strength.

    1. Hello Sister this is Yvonne. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I am learning that life lessons we learn are not to break us but to humble us to appreciate God’s Grace and mercy. Have a blessed day in the Lord, because He is Mighty.🤗

  2. You not only sing well and are talented, but you also uplift others hearts. Thanks for being so kind and encouraging us in our times of trouble.

Jesus loves you and hope your son is good now.
    Our God is great.

  3. This is such a great word that’s both practical and applicable. I had a TOUGH April, but for the most part, it was NOTHING compared to what some folks face every month. And during the month, I also had some super amazing things happen, that I couldn’t have orchestrated if I tried. So, I had to shift my perspective. When I saw your Periscope, it was another confirmation that what I called tough is actually relative…and grace covers any depth or dimension of “relative” that we face. I also realized that part of what was making my way seem tough was my lack of rest. By not leaning on His grace and trying to do so much in my own strength, I wasn’t resting, which made me more wacky and emotional. So, thank you. His grace IS sufficient!

  4. Thank you Larue, love you so much! Pray he gets well soon. May God continue to bless you and the family!

  5. That is so awesome because i had a challenge i was facing and God lead me to psalms 121:1-2 I will lift up mine eyes to the hill from whence cometh my help, my help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth. We have to always trust God in everything. Thank you sharing in Jesus name.

  6. An Urgent Clarion call to you my sister in Christ, all the way from the Caribbean, from the nation of Trinidad and Tobago. You are an extremely hard to descibe blessing to this generation. Please I would love to hear from you,as I strongly believe in divine connections for divine purpose. God bless.
