Such Sacrifice

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you! 2016 is going to be amazing, and I am so excited to have a place where I can share with you my thoughts and encouragement. This blog is for those of us who consider ourselves worshippers…we understand the purpose of our praise, we know what the word of God says about why we worship. It is time for the true worshippers to rise and worship God in spirit and in truth. God finds pleasure in our praise because it gives him an opportunity to be with us ~ to be in communion with us ~ to fellowship with us! He LOVES it when we offer up a sacrifice of praise to Him. But Hebrews 13:15-16, challenges us to take our sacrifice to another level. It says:

“15 Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.”

As a Christian and a worshipper, we desire to please God and this particular scripture tells us that when we do good and share it causes Him to be well pleased. I would like to extend to you an opportunity to offer up such sacrifices to God that will cause him to be well pleased with you. World Vision is a ministry that allows us to pour out of our own lives to those who are less fortunate that we are. There are many of you who feel like there is nothing you can do to minister to anyone but you have the ability to give. You may even feel like well, I can’t afford to put any money anywhere else. This is where your sacrifice comes in… yes it may be uncomfortable for you, but the greatest sacrifice that Jesus gave was his life.

There is a harvest of souls that are waiting to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and thru World Vision you are sending that message of hope to the nations. But they won’t hear it unless we send it….

Would you prayerfully consider becoming a sponsor with World Vision? By sponsoring a child, you will not only be helping that one child and his or her family, but you will be helping an entire community. Jesus said when you do this to the least of these, you do it unto me. Lets exalt the name of Jesus and offer up such sacrifices so that God is well pleased.
